This is the home page of Phn1x. I am currently in the field of reverse engineering. I just took on a new position at a company that allowed me to break into the field. This site is a place for me to store crap, blog about technical stuff, and host projects that I'm working on. My current interests are in the field of Reverse Engineering, Exploitation, and Post exploitation. This year(08) I plan to do much research into Post explotiation topics such as anti forensics, rootkits, and IDS Evasion. I touched slightly on some of these subjects and sparked an interest in them last year while I was doing some anti honeypot research. I think I've recently been cut off by my mentor who really got me interested in things beyond information security practices. None the less, he was a large influence in opening my mind up and allowing me to embark on a new journey through 2007. Currently my music interest is wide, of course when I'm sitting at this machine I often get a great feeling and get into the zone listening to artists such as benny bennassi, Tiesto, and Paul Van Dyk. My Languages of choice are English and Spanish (Mexican), and my programming languages of choice are C/Cpp, Ruby, and Python!
